Black Squirrel News (BSN) is a grassroots community initiative to fill news and information gaps in Calhoun County through our three core pillars:

• Original reporting
• Aggregated local reporting and storytelling
• News/media literacy embedded in everything we do.

We are comprised of volunteer community members and journalists and are pursuing a phased approach to match our capacity and resources as they grow. A full website of Calhoun County news and information is currently under construction.
